I'm a tutor based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where I enjoy traveling, reading, and socializing with friends when I'm not working with students. I recently graduated from Cedarville University in Ohio with a bachelor's degree in education. I also have my Ohio teaching license for middle school math and science. I'm currently working towards completing my Pennsylvania teaching license. My favorite subjects to tutor include math, science, and algebra. However, I can also help students prepare for standardized exams like the SAT and others. Throughout my experience as a tutor, I've seen firsthand the effect that even one session can have on a student. A tutor can help a student look at questions in a new way, and can provide the guidance that the student needs to break through any problem areas. I love to ask students to verbally process what they're working on while they do it so that I can understand how they're thinking better. I then take this information to help design individualized lesson plans and targeted practice exercises for that individual student.
